and programs possible!

In order to keep our ticket prices reasonable and accessible to the whole community, we cannot depend on ticket sales to cover even half of our operating budget.  This is true for most classical organizations, as State and National funding for the Arts is scarce and favors the larger more established companies.  The art form depends, however, on the smaller grass roots companies to keep the repertoire alive, challenging and varied in a way that the larger companies simply cannot sustain.  We believe that the voices we have chosen to champion are a treasure worth recovering and experiencing. Opera is living breathing Art, and Art makes us all more human, healthier as a society and more connected to one another. That is worth investing in.
